Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the role

We’re launching a next-generation freelance marketplace — similar to Fiverr, but built for the AI, Tech, Blockchain, and Digital Innovation economy. Our mission is to connect digital talent, entrepreneurs, and businesses with high-value tech and creative projects worldwide.

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who thrives in fast-paced startup environments, understands online marketplaces, and can drive real user growth — both freelancers and clients — through strategic outreach, partnerships, and lead generation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and reach out to potential freelancers, digital nomads, and small tech agencies to onboard them onto the platform.

  • Research and contact businesses and startups that could benefit from hiring talent on our marketplace.

  • Use cold email, LinkedIn, DMs, community outreach, and sales automation tools to generate leads.

2. Outreach & Relationship Building

  • Conduct discovery calls, demos, and onboarding sessions to convert leads into active users.

  • Build relationships with influencers, community admins, and creators who can refer new users.

  • Represent the platform in tech and freelancing communities (Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook groups, etc.).

3. Pipeline & Conversion Management

  • Manage and track outreach in CRM tools (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar).

  • Nurture warm leads with follow-ups, personalized offers, and referral incentives.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refine messaging and improve lead quality.

4. Partnerships & Affiliate Growth

  • Develop and close small-scale partnership deals with micro-agencies, coaches, or course creators who can promote the platform.

  • Launch affiliate and referral programs to drive consistent traffic and sign-ups.


Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (preferably in SaaS, marketplaces, or digital services).

  • Proven ability to generate and convert leads through cold outreach and relationship building.

  • Comfortable with social selling (LinkedIn, Twitter, Discord, communities).

  • Familiarity with CRM tools, lead generation software, and outreach automation.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Bonus: Experience working with freelance platforms, AI startups, or tech ecosystems.

KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Number of new freelancers onboarded per month.

  • Number of new client accounts or buyers activated.

  • Monthly traffic or signup growth attributed to outreach campaigns.

  • Conversion rates from cold outreach to active users.

  • Partnership or affiliate signups generated.


Compensation

  • Base salary (if applicable) + performance-based commissions.

  • Bonus for hitting onboarding and revenue targets.

  • Option for long-term equity/partnership opportunities for top performers.
